Optily connects to your webflow sites, and provides an easy and automatic way to optimize your webflow images without quality loss. We partner with the worlds leading image optimization API to deliver the best results possible with complete ease.
Optimizing your images (JPEG/JPG/PNG) can reduce their size by up to 80%, providing significant benefits to page load speeds.
Unless proactively completed prior to development, this can be a very manual process that requires webflow users to save images, run batch optimizing, download images, and replace them on each item.
a) Collection images (CMS)
Images located inside your Collection Lists (CMS) (eg. Blogs, Teams, Listings, Case Studies etc) will be automatically optimized and published upon completion. Please note we only optimize images that are published and a supported format. As Optily works through your images, will we update the modification date.
We believe you will notice no difference between the quality of images before and after optimization. The service uses smart technology to only optimize without detriment to the image. In fact, we're super transparent about everything - we work with tinyPNG the leading optimization service and the tool used by millions. You can test it prior to use.
We also built this page to show you examples directly - https://www.optily.co/examples
Our team suggests a simple backup before using, incase for some reason you don't love the results.
Please note - You are responsible for ensuring the integrity of your files, there is no warranty included with this service. You should ensure you have proper backups before using the service. Webflow offers incredibly robust backup service, and you can force save and learn more about this here
Under NO circumstances will Optily be liable to you for any cost arising from your use of the service.
Once you have created an account, you simply need to Generate an API token from your Webflow Project Settings. We will use this key to connect to your site and let you select which image fields you want to optimize. Please ensure you have published your website as we will only optimize images that are published and the correct format.
Optily starts at $29.99 giving you 2,000 image credits.
In most cases, 2,000 credits will support you optimizing a few websites.
For power users, we offer 15,000 credits for $99.99. This is really great value for those who plan to stick it out with Webflow and will be building large sites, serving many clients etc.
It's very possible that some of your images are HUGE, or that you have a significant amount of them. Small business sites on average take between 5-20 minutes, where as very large sites could take much longer.
Once you start the process we will run the operation in the background. You don't need the tab open, or your computer even on for that matter. We will run the process in the background and you will be able to see the modified date updated as we process images.
You can also continue working on your website while the process is in operation.
The estimate we provide you is based on the number of image fields inside your collections.
For example, if your blog collection has (2) image fields. And inside that collection was (50) blog posts, we would estimate (100) images total.
In reality some of these posts might not be published, they may contain no image, the image might be an unsupported format (GIF/SVG etc). With gallery items, we simply count this as (1) in the estimate, but this field could contain up to 20 images.
We use this method to avoid the incredibly long wait times if we were to query every item. In most cases you can look at the estimate as the max amount of credits (unless you have a ton of gallery items)
Results vary on the images individually, but optily can provide up to 80% size reduction without quality loss.
